Starlite Drive-in Cinema Terms & Conditions 2020:
 

By purchasing a ticket for Starlite Drive-in Cinema, you & your guests expressly agree to be bound by these Terms & conditions. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, effective immediately upon posting on our website.
 

(A) Starlite Drive-in Cinema Purchase & Ticketing Policy
 
  • Tickets must be booked through our website www.starlitedriveincinema.ie.
     

  • Ticket prices are available to view in our INFORMATION section.
     

  • Tickets are subject to a booking fee.
     

  • Tickets are non-refundable unless the event must be cancelled or postponed 
     

  • In the event of event cancellation due to government restrictions or extreme weather, guests will be offered a reschedule or a refund of the ticket price (booking fee can not be refunded under any circumstance)
     

  • Tickets cannot be transferred for cash, voucher or alternative.
     

  • When you pay for your ticket booking online by laser, credit or debit card, you will automatically receive an email by return to the email address you entered. It is therefore important that you enter your email address correctly to receive your tickets.
     

  • You must bring your booking confirmation / eTicket with you on the day of your event preferably, on mobile, or printed if necessary. You will present this to our staff on entry via your car window. Our staff will not handle the tickets or your mobile device, they will be scanned contactlessly using the barcode on your ticket and our scanning device.
     

  • Tickets are valid for the time and date shown on your ticket only.
     

  • Ticket and admittance will not be permitted without this and can only be used for admittance to the event once, so we encourage you to keep your tickets secure and not to share with others.
     

  • If you miss your allocated time slot, we will endeavour to accommodate you with an alternative slot where possible. Late entry may be refused. Please allow time for traffic delays, weather conditions etc.
     

  • Tickets are valid for 1 vehicle and its passengers - according to max seats in the particular vehicle - guests must comply with the Irish road traffic act by each attendee having a proper seat with seatbelt e.g. driver plus 4 guests in a standard 5-seater vehicle, this can vary with larger 4x4s, with a maximum on 7 guests per vehicle. Max car size jeep / 4x4 / people carrier (no vans / trucks / mini buses) - please note larger vehicles will be given a designated space suited to their size.
     

  • If you are sick and cannot attend, please contact us directly to reschedule to another screening date and time

 
(B) General Terms & Conditions:
 
  • We will make every effort to provide to you the event as advertised, but STARLITE DRIVE-IN CINEMA reserves the right to make any alterations to this, including changes in dates, time, modifications in programme or provision of alternative facilities where deemed necessary.

 

  • The Irish Film Classifications office certifies each movie according to the following system. Starlite Drive-in Cinema is obliged by law to only admit customers who meet these requirements and classifications set by each film.

    • G    - Suitable For All

    • PG  - Generally suitable for children aged 8 years or over

    • 12A - Suitable only for aged 12 or over, but may be accompanied by an adult

    • 15A - Suitable only for aged 15 or over, but may be accompanied by an adult

    • 16   - Suitable only for aged 16 or over, but may be accompanied by an adult

    • 18   - Suitable only for aged over 18. Younger people may not be permitted
      ID may be required

 

  • The management reserves the right of entry
     

  • Children must be supervised by & accompanied by an adult at all times.
     

  • The speed limit within the venue is strictly at 15kph. We ask that you please be vigilant and adhere to the designated speed limit and always drive responsibly.
     

  • Our staff will allocate parking in front of the screen on a first come, first served basis (there will be a clear view of the screen from every car park space), there will be no pre-booking a particular space. Each vehicle must only take up 1 car parking space.
     

  • If you are driving a 4 x 4 or large 7 seater vehicle, you may be asked to park in spaces allocated for larger vehicles.
     

  • Commercial Vans, camper vans, trucks, mini busses or coaches are not permitted and will be refused entry to site.
     

  • Engine and lights must be turned off through movie screenings. You are welcome to start your vehicle during the movie should you need to charge your battery. Some new vehicles have no capability to turn off LED or daytime running lights. This sometimes can hamper the view for the vehicle in front. If an issue should arise, these vehicles may be asked to park at the end of an aisle.

 

  • Priority parking may be given to disabled or visually impaired guests - please notify a stewart on arrival or contact us in advance, we can organise parking closer to the toilets or near the exit in case you need to leave early.
     

  • Gates will open approximately 30 minutes before the show commences. There will be no entry permitted before this.
     

  • After the movie, our staff will guide you to the nearest exit point. Please be patient, we will have a traffic management system in place which ensures a speedy exit.
     

  • Toilets will be available on site but we encourage you to only use them if you really need to as we try to reduce any unnecessary contact. Toilets will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised throughout the day. If possible, please use the toilets before or after the movie so other guests are not disturbed.
     

  • First aid staff will be available on site -  please contact any member of staff if you require any assistance at any stage.
     

  • Boisterous or abusive behaviour, offensive language and fighting is not permitted at any event. Management reserve the right to refuse entry and ask a patron to leave the venue
     

  • Please check weather reports and dress accordingly, bring some blankets to get cozy
     

  • No alcohol will be permitted in the screening area or surrounding areas of the venue. Any patron consuming alcohol will be refused entry, or may be asked to leave the venue.
     

  • No pets are permitted but assistance, accompany and visual guide dogs are welcome.

 

  • If you, for any reason, need to leave the venue before the film ends, you will be assisted by an event steward to the nearest available exit.

 

  • Vehicles are parked at the sole risk of the owners. Starlite Drive-in Cinema, VEMS Ltd, Archetype Events or the venue(s) accepts no responsibility whatsoever in loss or damage to your property whilst attending a movie screening, neighbouring properties or roadways within the venue.
     

 

(C) Starlite Drive-in Cinema Cancellation Policy:

 

  • COVID-19
    During the current Covid 19 crisis we require extra flexibility to cancel or reschedule events. Full ticket refunds will be given if a scheduled movie is cancelled for any reason.

    If you suspect you may have Covid-19 please do not attend. If you are feeling unwell, please get in touch and we will reschedule your tickets to another screening. We would appreciate 24 hours notice if possible to allow us to resell your tickets to another guest.

 

  • SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS AT THE VENUE:
    The event will only be cancelled if the weather in the location is perceived to be a danger
    to the public (e.g extremely high winds), or if there is a major failure in the electrics.
    The event will be cancelled when:

    • There weather at the venue is perceived to be a danger to the public

    • There is a major fault in the electric system

      ​​A decision will be made and visitors for the day will be contacted by email and a message will go out on all our social media platforms advising any cancellations due to weather. If the event must be cancelled we will offer you a new date to come along where & when possible, in this case we will contact you directly as soon as possible but please be patient and understand that many visitors may be affected and we may need some time to do so. If this is not feasible cancellation fees may be offered at the discretion of the management - booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstance.

 

  • MAJOR TECHNICAL FAULTS:
    The organisers of the event will do everything in their power to ensure the smooth running of the event. In the unlikely event of something going wrong out of our control, we will facilitate, in the best possible manner to deliver the event as close as possible to the organized time up to & including rescheduling or cancelling visits.
    Cancellation fees may be offered at the discretion of the management but no compensation will be available for any mishap, breakdown of service or cancellation as deemed necessary/unavoidable by the organisers.
    If some part of the experience is affected, the organisers will accommodate a replacement where possible, but reserve the right to remove promoted elements if & when deemed necessary
    In the unlikely event of a major technical fault, our team will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to reschedule your visit.

  • Site material disclaimer

Only the author of the respective pages linked or referred to may be held liable. Any links to external websites should not be construed as an endorsement of the content or views of the linked materials. The www.starlitedriveincinema.ie entity and its owners, officers, directors and administrators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from (i) the use or the inability to use the aforesaid website or (ii) the cost or procurement of substitute goods and services or (iii} resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained or transactions entered into through the websites or (iv) resulting from unauthorized access to alteration of your transmissions or data, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, use, data or other intangible.

  • Personal Injury disclaimer
    The www.starlitedriveincinema.ie entity and its owners, officers, directors or administrators will not be held responsible for any injury, accident or incident during the Starlite Drive-in Cinema event booked. 
    By accepting the terms and conditions on the booking page, all participants are agreeing to this.

  • Authority to Act as Agent
    Where the booking is made by an individual on behalf of other participants, such individual confirms: I represent and warrant that I have fully legal authority to complete the Booking Form on the Bookings page on behalf of all parties covered by my booking on www.starlitedriveincinema.ie, including full authority to make use of the credit or debit card to which the booking fees will be charged. In registering third parties, I represent and warrant that I have been duly authorized to act as agent on behalf of such parties in performing this event registration. By proceeding with the booking, I agree that the Terms and Conditions shall apply equally to me and to the third parties for whom I am acting as an agent and shall indemnify the owners, officers, directors and administrators of www.starlitedriveincinema.ie against all and any loss, damages or cause of action, which might arise.

 

  • Release of Liability
    I hereby release, discharge and hold harmless the owners, officers, directors and administrators of the www.starlitedriveincinema.ie website/entity, their respective, agents, affiliated legal entities, officers, members, volunteers and employees, other participants, sponsors and advertisers from all liability, claims, demands, losses and/or damages caused, or alleged to be caused, in whole or in part by me or those for whom I act as agent, for any and all damages which may be sustained or suffered by me or those whom I act as an agent with my or their participation in, and/or arising out of my travel to, taking part in or returning from a www.starlitedriveincinema.ie activity. Furthermore I will indemnify save and hold harmless www.starlitedriveincinema.ie and its owners, officers, directors, administrators from any litigation expenses, legal fees, loss, liability, damage or costs which may be incurred as the result of such a claim.

Thankfully the majority of our customer experiences are very positive. However, we welcome all types of feedback – we strive to be the best we can be, but we may make mistakes, we are human too. We are here to listen to you to better ourselves and try to create the best possible experience. We would expect and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to do so.
